Clinic with a Heart

One evening, an anonymous donor gave Dr. S money and directed him to have Clinic with a Heart volunteers give it to people they thought needed it. Two patients received funds during the clinic. When he was leaving, Dr. S saw a patient he had cared for. A recently widowed mother of two, the woman had just moved to Lincoln hoping to find a job, was discouraged, and sick. At the end of the evening, there was still money left and Dr. S spotted the patient as she was leaving, followed her in her car, and then waved her down to give her the money. The card she sent to CWAH volunteers reads “I thank you from the bottom of my heart. You all are an answer to prayer. I thank God for placing me in your care for I was treated with much kindness, patience, goodness and compassion. Know that you have touched my heart as I know you have touched many hearts. You are most definitely the Clinic with a Heart!”
